What impact are you looking to have on the healthcare community and how do you plan to make this impact?
As an African-American woman and first-generation college graduate now approaching the tail-end of my PhD journey, I’m looking to continue to diversify our executive healthcare leadership pool and create seats for others. I plan to be impactful by engaging differences as strengths in an environment that ensures equality of healthcare access, opportunity, representation and participation.

What made you decide to become a NAHSE member?
I was so excited to learn of NAHSE’s existence. To be a part of an organization that strives to serve as a vehicle by which Black healthcare leaders can help improve the health status, economic opportunities and educational advancement of our community is certainly rewarding. I joined because my vision and values as a healthcare leader align with NAHSE.

What do you like to do for fun?
For fun I love to lock into a good book, I’m also a huge foodie and love trying different eats. On weekends you can often catch me blasting my favorite tunes while baking, sewing or working on many DIY projects... so therapeutic.
