What influenced your decision to go for a Masters?

I pursued a Masters for a variety of reasons. Technology is something I have always been passionate about from a young age. When I became introduced to Healthcare Informatics during my Undergrad days, I began doing more research, and decided to pursue my Masters as a way to gain more insight onto this particular field. By leveraging my passion for technology, and interest in the healthcare interest, I have been able to explore various avenues that have led me to the position that I am in today. I look forward to being able to take the knowledge that I have accumulated throughout the past several years to achieve excellence in my field, and help uplift others who share these same ambitions.

Why NAHSE?
I was introduced to NAHSE by fellow NYR members, Ralph Thomas and Chris Choudhry. Although having been in the healthcare industry for a couple of years, I was yearning for more guidance and direction in regards to furthering my career, thus, I felt that NAHSE was a way for me to help achieve these goals. Additionally, I wanted to be part of an organization that focused on the advancement and development of Minority Professionals, and NAHSE’s mission and values were rightly in tune with this.
Fun Fact:
A fun fact about myself was that I ran my first marathon the TCS NYC Marathon in 2019. This was something that has always been on my bucket list and two years ago I decided to finally pursue this and spent 1 1/2 years training.
